This comprehensive guide will help you understand and use QSafe Wallet, the official desktop wallet for Quranium’s Layer-1 (L1) blockchain ecosystem. Follow the instructions to explore the full range of features and manage your QRN coins securely.
After installing QSafe Wallet, launch the application:
Windows: Double-click the QSafe Wallet shortcut on your desktop or search for it in the Start menu.
Linux: Run the .AppImage file or open QSafe Wallet from your applications menu if added.
The application will prompt you to either create a new wallet or import an existing wallet.
Click "Create Wallet" on the main screen.
Enter and confirm a strong password for your wallet. This password will be used to unlock your wallet on the local device.
A 12-word recovery phrase will be displayed.
Write down this phrase and store it in a secure offline location.
Never share your recovery phrase with anyone.
Confirm the recovery phrase by re-entering the words in the correct order.
Once confirmed, your new wallet will be created, and you'll be directed to the dashboard.
Click "Import Wallet" on the main screen.
Select the import method:
Recovery Phrase: Enter your 12-word recovery phrase.
Private Key: Enter your private key for the wallet.
Set a password for local access.
Once the wallet is imported, you will be directed to the main dashboard.
QRN Balance: View your total QRN coin balance across both L1 and L2 networks.
Recent Transactions: See a list of your most recent transactions, including status and details on your History tab.
Click on the "Send" button in the main dashboard.
Fill in the required details:
Recipient Address: Enter the recipient’s Quranium wallet address.
Amount: Specify the amount of QRN to send.
Review the transaction details and ensure the recipient address is correct.
Confirm and submit the transaction.
A transaction ID will be provided to track the status.
Click on the "Receive" button in the main dashboard.
Your Quranium wallet address and QR code will be displayed.
Share your wallet address with the sender to receive QRN coins.
Incoming transactions will appear in the Recent Transactions section once confirmed.
Go to the "Transactions" tab.
View a detailed history of all transactions, including:
Status (Pending, Confirmed, Failed).
Amount, sender/recipient address, and timestamp.
Network
Use the filter option to search transactions by date, network, or amount.
While sending QRN, move the sat/vByte slider to your desired amount of fee you are willing to pay.
Set your preferred transaction fee based on transaction urgency.
Higher fees ensure faster confirmations, while lower fees may take more time.
Access the "Settings" menu.
Select "Backup Wallet" to view your recovery phrase.
Reconfirm your password to access the recovery phrase.
Store the phrase offline for maximum security.
Click on the lock icon at the bottom right of the wallet.
Change your password for local wallet access.
Use a strong password that combines letters, numbers, and special characters.
Use your recovery phrase to restore your wallet on the same or a new device.
Ensure you have enough QRN for the transaction amount and transaction fees minimum of 10 sat/vBytes.
Check your internet connection and network settings.
Restart the QSafe Wallet application.
Ensure your firewall or antivirus is not blocking the application.
Protect Your Recovery Phrase: Store it offline and never share it with anyone.
Verify Recipient Addresses: Always double-check the recipient’s wallet address before sending QRN.
Update Regularly: Ensure your QSafe Wallet application is up to date to access the latest features and security patches. Opt-in for the update alert during the initial launch of the wallet to get alerts at the bottom of your Qsafe wallet.
