QSafe Wallet: Installation Guide

This detailed guide provides step-by-step instructions to install the QSafe Wallet on Windows and Linux systems. Follow the instructions for your operating system to ensure a successful setup.


For Windows Users

System Requirements

  • Operating System: Windows 11 or newer .

  • Disk Space: At least 1 GB of free disk space.

  • RAM: Minimum 4 GB (8 GB recommended).

  • Processor: x64 processor.

Step 1: Download the standalone software

  1. Go to the official Quranium website.

  2. Navigate to the QSafe Wallet section and click on Download for Windows.

  3. Save the .exe file to a location of your choice (e.g., Desktop or Downloads folder).


Step 2: Launch the software

  1. Locate the downloaded .exe file (e.g., qsafe-<version>.exe) and double-click to open it.

  2. If prompted by Windows SmartScreen, click "More Info" > "Run Anyway" to proceed.

  3. QSafe Wallet is now ready to use.


For Ubuntu Users

System Requirements

  • Operating System: Ubuntu 24 LTS or newer (64-bit).

  • Disk Space: At least 1 GB of free disk space.

  • RAM: Minimum 4 GB (8 GB recommended).

  • Processor: x64 processor.

Step 1: Download the AppImage

  1. Go to the official Quranium website.

  2. Navigate to the QSafe Wallet section and click on Download for Linux.

  3. Save the .AppImage file to a location of your choice (e.g., your Downloads directory).


Step 2: Make the AppImage Executable

  1. Open a terminal window and navigate to the directory containing the downloaded .AppImage file.

    cd ~/Downloads
  2. Use the chmod command to make the file executable:

    chmod +x qsafe-<version>-x86_64.AppImage

Step 3: Run the AppImage

Using Terminal

  1. Install dependencies:

    sudo apt update
    sudo apt install libfuse2
  2. Launch the wallet using the terminal:

    ./qsafe-<version>-x86_64.AppImage

    Alternatively, you can double-click the file in your file manager if it’s executable.

  3. If you encounter a security warning, confirm to allow execution.

Direct Launch:

Launch the wallet by clicking on the .AppImage directly.


Post-Installation Steps (Windows and Linux)

  • Set Up Your Wallet: Follow the Quickstart Guide to create or import a wallet.

  • Check for Updates: Ensure you’re using the latest version by checking for updates in the Settings section of QSafe Wallet.
